Short answer
What you keep depends on two numbers, not one: the percentage and what it is charged on. OnlyFans keeps 20% of what fans spend and pays out the rest, the net. An agency charging on gross takes its cut from money you never receive.
That is why 40% of gross costs you exactly the same as 50% of net, and 50% of gross costs you a quarter more than 50% of net. Put any two offers below and compare what lands in your account.
Compare two offers
Prefilled with MANGO's terms (offer A: 50% of net, no fees) against a 50% of gross offer (B). Change anything: nothing you type leaves your browser.
OnlyFans fee: 20 %
With these numbers you keep more with offer A: +$12,000 a year.
Gross vs net, side by side
| % of gross | Same as % of net |
|---|---|
| 30% | 37.5% |
| 40% | 50% |
| 50% | 62.5% |
| 60% | 75% |
Formula: % of net = % of gross ÷ 0.8, because OnlyFans keeps 20%.
How to use it
- 1
Enter what your fans spend in a month
Use your OnlyFans statements: the total fans spent, before OnlyFans' 20% fee.
- 2
Fill in each offer
The percentage, whether it is charged on gross or net, and any upfront or monthly fee. Ask the agency to confirm each one in writing.
- 3
Compare the year, not the month
An upfront fee looks small next to one month but matters over twelve. The calculator subtracts it from the yearly total.
What is the difference between gross and net on OnlyFans?
Gross is what fans spend. Net is what OnlyFans pays out after keeping its 20% fee. On $10,000 of fan spend, the net is $8,000.
Is 50% of gross the same as 50% of net?
No. On $10,000 of fan spend, 50% of gross is $5,000 and 50% of net is $4,000. At the same rate, charging on gross costs the creator a quarter more.
How do I convert a percentage of gross into a percentage of net?
Divide it by 0.8. So 40% of gross equals 50% of net, and 50% of gross equals 62.5% of net.
What percentage do OnlyFans agencies usually take?
In full management most agencies take between 50% and 60%, and some take up to 70%; chatting-only services usually charge 20% to 40%. Always check whether it is charged on gross or net.
What does MANGO charge?
In full management, 50% of net revenue, with no upfront fees, no monthly retainer and no minimum notice. Ads and promotion are paid out of MANGO's own half. Chatting only: 20% to 30% of net.
Half and half, on net.
